Our speaker will be Don Timmons, Director of Trellis Supportive Care ( formerly Hospice and Palliative CareCenter), providers of palliative and hospice care plus family support to veterans and the community. A copy of their ad can be downloaded below.

Timmons is an Army veteran and has spoken to us before. Since then he has grown Trellis into one of the leading coordinators of Special Events and Meetings of Veteran groups all across the western North Carolina region.

Most importantly the speakers he has presented at these Veteran Coffees have identified the extensive services that are available to veterans; many relatively unknown, but ever so helpful once found.

Our tentative speaker is Ms Cindy Briggs, local oral history recorder of veterans in the Winston Salem. A number of those she has recorded have passed away, but thanks to her work we now have a record and access to their experiences from WWII right through to current wars.

She has spoken to us a few years back, so this will be a chance for her to catch us up on more recently recorded histories.
