Chapter Meeting January 2022

Our Speaker, who is Curator of Moravian Decorative Arts and Old Salem Gardens, guided us through the make up and activities of the students of Salem Academy which is celebrating it's 250 year anniversary this year. Founded in 1722 it was the first all women's school in the Colonies and an integral part of the Moravian community of Salem.
On display was the Charter of our Chapter on its 43rd anniversary as we witnessed the swearing in of our new Board of Directors by Past President George Angle. Greg Chase returns as our new President after a hiatus of 22 years, during which he has been our stalwart Editor of the Newsletter. A hat he will continue to wear.
Newly elected First Vice President Ted Robinson spoke to us about the very real need to find and capture new membership, everyday, and through use of MOAA's new Social Media emphasis. He comes from a Membership generation industry so is a perfect fit for this new task.
Jerry Johnson announced the success of The Marines Toys for Tots having collected 54,180 gifts which found their way to some 28,861 children. Semper Fi!
